This is a weekend of events that makes Garner Lake SPECIAL!
For many years, the fireworks show has been one of the largest dispalys in Shelby County and it all happens in our backyards!
The fireworks show is supported entirely by donations and volunteers from people living on and around the lake.

Decorate your boat and meet in the middle by 8 pm to follow parade marshal Bert Faller. Awards for the best decorated boats and most spirited crew.

Patriotic Lighting Contest
Light up the lake side of your property with a patriotic theme and leave the lights on in the evening! (Think patriotic Christmas in July.)

Concerts on the Lake
Pack a cooler with snacks and drinks, launch the boat, tie up with friends, and enjoy some great music on the lake. The 2020 lineup included Blackwater Trio, Your Academy, Kevin & Bethany Paige, Thumpdaddy, and Music City Stones. (Organized and staged by a group of individuals who live on the lake, not GLA or GLM; the organizers invite all lake residents to participate and enjoy.)

Five categories: Beverage, Dessert, Wings, Pork Ribs, and Anything But. Certified judges, awards, live music, and food afterward. (This activity is organized and staged by a group of individuals who live on the lake and not GLA or Garner Lake Management, but they invite all lake residents to participate.)

Muster in the middle of the lake at 6:30 am and try your luck against the other anglers. Prizes, fun, and a few bets on the side. (Organized by a group of avid fishermen lake residents.)
